Palace of Prince Dimitry, Uglich, Russia ידי Yvon from Ottawa

This is the Palace where Crown Prince Dimitry, the son of Ivan the Terrible, lived with his mother until he mysteriously died – murdered or by accident (see previous photo) – on May 15, 1591. The palace is now a museum. Note the traditional costumes composed of <i>sarafans</i> (dress), <i>kokoshkik</i> (the lady's head dress) and <i>fur-trimmed hat</i> (the man's head dress) worn by our hosts.
