Malawi Sunset ידי Blue Hour Admiral

After traveling through Kenya and Tanzania, Malawi was a nice surprise. After the rugged days of being on multiple safari’s, Malawi and especially Lake Malawi was very inviting. The people were so nice and friendly and the lake was so big it looked like the ocean. We spent a few days camping and relaxing on the beach, playing beach volleyball, taking paddle boats out and getting to know the local people. The main source of income for the local village people who live along the lake is fishing. Every morning you will see them head out on the lake in their little wooden dugout canoe’s and they don’t return until after dark. There are multiple villages along the banks of Lake Malawi and the fishermen use an interesting approach to find their way back- drums. You see they don’t have lights or any means of navigating so their villages use a particular drum beat to let them know where home is.
